(BHIS,Thane) was started in 2006 by the Goenkas under the aegis of the Citizens Welfare Association (CWA). The aim was to usher into the fast-growing city of Thane world class education. Towards this end, the CWA tied up with Kangaroo Kids Education Limited(KKEL) for pre-primary,primary and secondary education. For the ninth and tenth standards, the syllabus is as prescribed by the Council for the Indian School Examinations(CISCE).
